Only the crew of African Queen are permitted to Pilot these boats.


Captain, Chef and Deckhand. They have their own ablutions and


1 x double cabin with cupboard space
2 x twin bedded cabins with cubboard space
1 x double bun cabin (4 beds in cabin) with cupboard space
2 x bathrooms with toilet, shower and hand basin. Hot water is provided
by way of gas geyser/solar heating
Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove/oven and fridge/freezer space
Cold water shower off the Bermuda Deck
Gas and wood braai off the back deck.

The top deck is spacious and partially shaded. There is a dining area as
well as bar and lounge area on this deck. Ice machine available.
A CD player which is Ipod compatable is provided – client’s to bring their
own CD’s and Ipod
Splash pool towards the back outer top deck which has retractable shade
There is a safe onboard with Electronic Keypad Locking System. Please
ensure all valuables are locked away.


Kariba Breezes Harbour, Kariba (Car Park fee – $5 per vehicle per night)

BOARDING TIME: 11:30a.m.

Cleaning materials are not provided and is for the client’s supply to include dishwashing liquid, bin bags, toilet rolls, air-spray, pot scourers and dish cloths.

Clients are kindly requested to provide their own personal toiletries, towels (hand, bath and swimming), first aid kits and to take all precaution against malaria.

PLEASE NOTE – a US$100 breakage fee is charged to all charters boarding the African Queen. Client’s will be refunded this deposit if there are no breakages to the property of African Queen during the duration of their charter.
Should damages occur, the Owner will replace/repair the damage at current cost of same and the client will be refunded the balance. The Owner reserves the right to request further payment if the damage to the property exceeds that of the $100 fee charged.

Please also note that whilst every effort is used to maintain generators/engines etc., occasionally mechanical breakdowns do occur whilst the boat is out on charter and therefore Flame of africa and its’ employees cannot be held responsible for any such breakdowns.

Permitted Charter Routes and approximate diesel usage figures:-

1 night charter may only go as far as- Antelope or Zebra Island – 75 litres
2 night charter may only go as far as- Nyodza / Palm bay or the above – 150 litres
3 night charter may only go as far as- Palm bay / Sanyati West – 200 Litres
4 night charter may only go as far as- Gordon’s Bay – 275 Litres
5 night charter may only go as far as- Elephant point – 325 Litres
6 night charter may only go as far as- Umi River – 450 Litres

Please note that there is no fuel jetty at the Kariba Breezes Harbour so fuel is purchased from the Marineland Harbour fuel jetty. An additional 25 litres diesel will be charged to client’s for travel back to the Kariba Breezes harbour.
